Delegate Handbook

Client: Eyewitness Palestine

For the Participatory Review Report – Adolescent Girls Initiative for For the Eyewitness Palestine Delegate Handbook EP Delegate Handbook 2, I designed the complete 67-page handbook layout, supporting returning delegates in their continued advocacy journey.

The handbook is a structured guide that includes emotional support resources, advocacy tools, media engagement guidance, organizing frameworks, and annual action calendars. It blends dense educational content with practical toolkits and reflective exercises.

My role focused on:

  • Full publication layout design (cover + interior)
  • Developing a clear visual hierarchy for a complex table of contents and multi-section structure
  • Designing infographics and visual frameworks (e.g., decision tree flow, emotional spectrum chart, ecosystem map)
  • Formatting long-form text into readable, accessible spreads
  • Creating consistent section dividers and branded page systems
  • Designing toolkit tables, callout boxes, and action checklists
  • Preparing a polished digital and print-ready file

The design approach balances seriousness and accessibility. The content deals with trauma, advocacy, and political education, so the layout needed to feel grounded, clear, and supportive not overwhelming.

Strong typography structure, color-coded sections, icon systems, and visual breathing space help guide readers through topics such as:

  • Emotional Support & Post-Delegation Transition
  • Advocacy & Organizing Tools
  • Media Engagement Strategies
  • Storytelling & Ethical Communication
  • Recurring Campaigns & Annual Action Calendar

The result is a cohesive, movement-aligned handbook that translates complex political and emotional content into an organized, visually accessible resource for long-term engagement.
